IIRC, Prima (or maybe Clive) and OE used to carry them when they were manufactured by Inker, but Ischias from any OEM don't seem to be sold by any merchants in the US at all. The precious few I have are guarded by a Rottweiler.

I gather that Inker (based in Croatia) cut back its operations severely and licenced or sold many of its classic coffee-related porcelain designs to IPA, perhaps 2 or 3 years back (?), but this is all conjecture on my part. Would be happy to get the real scoop from someone who knows.

Interesting. I went through Inker's current catalog recently and couldn't find the Ischia, didn't realize that IPA is now carrying them. I stocked up on yellow Inker Ischia demitasses when OE blew out their inventory a while ago.

Inker's most current (?) catalog:
http://www.inkerpor.hr/wp-content/uploa ... ee-cup.pdf

I think only the Tina and Luna are available in the Western Hemisphere (from BeCoffee in Quebec).

And the IPA catalog:
http://www.ipaporcellane.com/eng/18-models.html

I think several of these designs -- like the Ischia -- were associated with Inker a few years back.

This topic branch, which began with looking for cups that would work on a CT1 using a scale, has gotten way off-topic, so that's all I'll say. Now back to our regularly scheduled program...

haha, yea, it has wandered. Though I have to say, I did not realize until I got my hands on it how little space there is. I assumed that my brewista and illy art collection cups would pair up well, but NOPE there is so little space the group is actually touching the cup ever so slightly and messing up the measurements, let alone seeing it hehe...going to have to go by time, visuals and weighing afterward I think, but a new thread makes sense!

It looks like the CT-1 is sold out on the Strietman website. Anyone know what this could mean?

This is the latest is what I got from Woulter. Yes, I put myself on the list:

"Thanks for your message.
We are carrying out some minor constructive changes to the design of the CT1.
It will be subtle changes and tweaks which should improve the design and function.
The new version will be available in June.
Please let me know if you would like to be added to the pre-order list ( free of obligations )
You will be asked for a deposit in April, which will confirm your order.

Kind regards, Wouter Strietman

I really can't think of anything aside from the height of the group. If it was raised an inch then a lot more cups and different scales could fit under the CT1. Aside from that, its tough to really pinpoint "deficiencies" if you can even call them that. Perhaps, they will be interchangeable although I highly doubt it.

A built in PID would be pretty sweet. But that wouldn't be a subtle change.
