If I had one of these, I'd definitely have a massive batch of tiramisu planned. I think the last time I made some, I spent nearly 40 minutes pulling shots. I didn't want to cheap out and use instant espresso powder or just strong brewed coffee/french press. I've since picked up a very large sized Bialleti moka pot, which should yield something similar.

I often wondered what was available to the American consumer in 1975. I was coming out of college and my dad was at the peak of his career. Who were buying these LL1's in the US? What grinder and coffee beans were there? Was the taste any good?

According to the brochure it was, at least in Italy!
