New lever in the "house", actually 3 new levers.

I opened the box and it was like opening the ark of the covenant.

Beams of light shot out to the ceiling

It almost looks too clean. Like a new pair of Converse Chuck Taylors...it needs some grit.

Kinda like the thing just dropped by. I think I missed something along the way of your posts, Alan.

Is that the Athena ?
Very popular here in the Greater Toronto Area a while back. Classic machine with old world workmanship with that hammered copper cladding.
Between order and chaos there is espresso.
Semper discens.

Same location. The old girl needs a makeover, so I got a new one.

But, Houston, we have a problem. Seems the new girl took a bump:

I had to take the whole thing apart only to find a broken weld on the left side of the drip tray frame:

OH NO!!! How in the heck when it was so solidly crated?

That pic makes the center group look off center. Is it or just an optical illusion?

The center group is OK.

It looks like the left side of the drip tray was only tack welded. I only see one small blob of welding material for a one and a half inch joint. It looks like they tacked it on but nobody went back to do the final weld.
