Juan Pena is one of the best when it comes to experimental processing. And about as west coast as you can get.

I've had a bunch of Andy Town it's nowhere near what Manhattan is doing, unfortunately. I have not tried that one you linked but I just ordered it.
The real magic is Diego Bermudez. He's pushing the limits when it comes to experimental processing. I was able to get a small quantity of greens to roast myself and it's just as good home-roasted!

I've received two of the three high end coffees I've bought from Manhattan that were absolute crap that should have never made it into a bag other than a trash bag. Manhattan is incredibly inconsistent and they don't make amends for their bed wetting. They leave it to the cafes who resale their coffee to make it right by the customer. Their hype is big, but they rarely achieve it.

I got no dog in this fight, but I ordered some of the Letty from Dayglow and it is unbelievably fantastic...TomC wrote:Their hype is big, but they rarely achieve it.

The Don Rigoberto Herrera was an absolute dud.The Black Sheep was so-so and not worth the price. The Shady Bader was awesome. We'll have to start a separate thread to continue, I feel bad enough derailing the R24 topic, so I'll bow out for now.

We can start a sub-thread but do yourself a favor and buy Luna and Letty and then report back

I'm close to pulling the trigger on a new R24. Has anyone taken a new shipment lately? Are they currently shipping with or without the small nipple on the front that drips onto the top of the drip tray?
