Reiss has a very particular perspective on things so you will get what he thinks is best when he designs something.

that the boiler cap is the entire top of the machine. That seems kind of cumbersome to me. I think it also takes away visually from the Vectis which is quite beautiful. Why not put a screw on cap like the Cremina? Interesting machine at many levels, though.
Yeah, I didn't like how it wraps around the top a little bit. It seems like an easy way to scratch up the top of the machine.

I'm curious what you all think about sourcing parts for the Vectis. Do we know if most parts are generic and easy to source from websites within the US like espresso parts etc? The only down side I can think of is the expensive shipping from the londinium website. I was told that the piston seals are a new size for the group, it'll be necessary to order them on the londinium website apparently.

Pics of the interior in Instagram look to have pretty standard parts, but you will not find parts listings for Londinium (or Fracino) on EspressoParts or CafeParts or similar American websites, in part because the Londinium machines are not sold in North America.

Is this likely to be similar to a Cremina in terms of temp management?

It is a dipper-fed, boiler-connection heated group lever like la pavoni, elektra, ponte vechio, cremina. The specific behavior will likely be a little different but generally similar.

Got it. I am hoping it will be a little easier than what I found with the Cremina but guess we'll have to wait on some reviews to come in

It is likely to behave similarly to the cremina spring lever.
