i do hope someone solved this issue and can help me out with this.

i have a '85 Europiccola and after checking the heating element (the problem was in the button, but well..) when i try to tighten up the 3 bolts that holds the heating element - the flange is constantly slipping towards the heating elements base, even it's been threaded up...

i do hope i explained well, as english is far from my native language..

Here are some of the previous threads regarding loose rings / flanges.

Bit of confusion in your explanation for me since you jumped from a potential switch problem to the boiler ring / flange issue.

the main issue is with this flange.

i rotate it up to the base and when i am tightening up the 3 heating element bolts, to secure the heating element - the ring/flange starts sliding back (as there is no threading at all).

thanks, but this is not my problem.

my problem is:

1. i've tighten the flange up till the base with no heating element on
2. install heating element to the boiler
3. start screwing in the 3 bolts of the heating element to the flange (it has 3 holes for the bolts, right?)
4. here comes my problem. as i am screwing in the bolts - the flange starts SLIPPING DOWN towards the heating element, as there is no threading on the boiler

Can you post some pictures to confirm model year/type of your Europiccola since they've varied throughout its long production.

I'm not really an expert but where is the base of the machine in this problem?

Looks like you are missing the heating element seal and the base to boiler spacers as seen here. http://www.francescoceccarelli.eu/Faida ... pavoni.htm
