Hello all,

I live in Australia, and recently bought this machine, a 'La Carimali Extra'. I am searching for information on this machine. In particular, i'm after:

-Does anyone know when this machine was built? (No date on boiler)
-Does anyone know who stocks parts for this machine?
-Any information/manual/brochures exist for this machine?

Any pictures of this machine in original condition would be invaluable to me, as I believe an aftermarket light to have being installed at some point. In addition, I believe one, or both gauges to have being replaced at some point because they are in different measurement systems. This would be helpful for me to restore the machine as orginal as possible.

I have had the machine for a week or two, it is now completely stripped and the plan is a ground up rebuild/restoration.

Can I make it clear that I have read the rules on cross posting, I do not believe this thread should be deleted even though I have a thread on Coffeesnobs, and Kaffe-Detz. Why? Because no one has any concrete information on either forum on this machine. Carimali have also not responded to my enquery which was sent weeks ago. I am hopeful that someone here has some knowledge.

Cheers!

some educated guesses can be made;

gr - design is not the very early, cantilevered type (1950s).
emissions valve - machine has a weighted emissions valve, which disappears in the mid/late 60s.
logo on matriculation plate - logo is not an early one

I would guess machine is early to mid 60s. The element may have a date stamp though this would be unlikely to be an original element!

parts - coffeeparts.com.au as modern spring and seals should fit

brochures etc - no
cheers
