The growth of the global rich and super rich over the past 30 to 40 years has been huge. They spend $3K a week tipping waiters. You won't go broke building and selling quality/distinctive luxury/fetish products in the modern world.
Overpriced means that something costs more than what it is worth. So if someone says they think it is overpriced then it is, for them. It may not be overpriced for a billionaire or someone with a particular need or desire but that's not the point. There are many examples where supply/demand is satisfied but the items in question are considered overpriced by many people, including those with specific expertise. There's nothing ridiculous about that.
