Always looking for interesting Craigslist finds...any idea what this machine is? Two group lever. Seller doesn't know. I don't see portafilters.

I wonder if it's a retrofit of commercial lever groups to an earlier version machine. What are the groups? That thing looks big!

This thing is about an hour away from Asheville, NC and I'm only here for a coupe days. The seller doesn't seem to know much about it other than its forty inches tall. I am a bit fascinated though and am moving to Asheville in a couple of months....

There's less patina on top. Makes me think it once had a dome and eagle.

It looks very similar to a 1925 La San Marco model 900 and a 1928 La Pavoni two group Baby on Enrico Maltoni's site. I really do wonder whether the lever groups were retrofitted.

From the venting it looks like it was powered by gas at the bottom. Many well-known companies made those large urn machines, including Bezzera also.

Those do look similar. I'm definitely not headed that way but I gave Day the info so maybe we'll find out more. As always thanks for the help!
