I figured I would share the result of my curiosity..

I tapped a spare PF and put a gauge on it, I could get 120psi by leaning onto the piston shaft but 110 without fussing. That's 7.5-8.2 bar

Not surprising due to the small- diameter basket. The design is very well thought out resulting in great espresso.

Thanks for sharing the results!

By the way, please try to brew something with that contraption, it would be the only Export with flow control.

My friend mentioned similar, however flow control on the output side of the basket would be dicey  at least in my thinking anyway I guess I could try, for "science" . but I'm going to stick to the bottomless pf :D

I never put a gauge on my La Peppina, but it's been done.

Yeah, it was from eBay. Survived Fedex shipping halfway across the US!

I have thought of drilling the group head for a gauge; but have not had the gall to go through with it.
