Some vendors on eBay have the same products for sale in their "physical shop" so if someone happens to buy it in the shop while another buys it online - you'll have a problem. One of the two won't get the product.

I buy used test gear and that happens a lot in that market (they sell on eBay but also have telesales and they send out lists of available products, and they do a lot of trade in deals as well with labs and universities).

And yes - I am aware it can be disappointing and eBay (in theory) doesn't like it. I say "in theory" because eBay does not seem to be displeased with the commission on a $5000 scope (even if a small % of those deals fall through). I guess it isn't that surprising when you think about how much commission money is in those deals....

I hear you, in this case that can't go wrong as hos webshop does not show the button to add to your shopping cart for this item. I even don't want to buy the thing online if I don't have to as I can drive to the seller in 30 minutes.

I have little remorse about what ebay may think, it's not like they have a monopoly on selling stuff online.

I'm 100% sure the pictures are the same as before as the hint of a dent can be seen on the left side of the machine...

We all Pre-thank you for the pictures you will take and share.

Also - it seems from what he sells that he may have an interesting workshop.

Good luck! It's a low price from a seller that knows their value so I'm definitely curious as to the condition. I noticed he's ended the eBay listing now.

That La Cosmo he has listed for sale is pretty sweet looking.

I don't say it's bad stuff, this seller always has one or more ad on eBay. It is a way to advertise for 0 €. When you ask crazy shipping cost it is to oblige the buyer to engage in a conversation. Conversation during which you explain the why and how ;)

I'll post pictures when I have picked the thing up, pictures of my phone would not do it justice and I did not bring my DSLR as I wanted to focus on the machine and all the information.

A new steampipe will be installed as the original one has an awkward bend making it prone to burning yourself, and a vacuum breaker will be added as I'll not be leaving it on constantly. Got really great info and advice! The machine is not in NOS condition and shows it's age but was overhauled completely and is looking great as it was restored using what I consider common sense. (inside looks splendid too)

I'll be adding a piece of countertop to the kitchen so we can see the machine in full glory when installed, with a cabinet below it to place the watertank and pump (plan on manually filling the boiler with a flojet or similar pump using the NaHCo3 spiked bottled water I'm already using).

Now trying to find as much tech/diagrams/workflow info as I can find as this machine is a bit more high tech than the Faemina.
