Awesome! We will be vicariously pleased that you took the plunge. Even though you intend to keep it as a gas setup, does it appear that the boiler plate would accommodate an element?

It's a shame for a Hungarian lever ethusiast but I see that group working the first time. No more time for restoration projects recently. This one seems very appealing. The locking mechanism is amazing.

Keripar was the producer of Casino Mocca also.

Oh wow. Now I have another Hungarian lever to keep an eye out for!
As far as I can tell there are two Hungarian made lever groups, presumably by both by the same company.
The most common is the beautiful ratchet group we see on mine, the Keripar and Casino Mocca machines. I also came across this bizarre little club. 49mm group and the teeniest basket I've ever seen. Named Mini Mocca and I can't find any reference to it at all. The hot water tap, tap is my favourite detail.

There is a boiler plate on each end. Its pressed steel sheet with a round shape rather than cast. Not ideal for fitting an element so best approach would be to make a whole new plate.grog wrote:Awesome! We will be vicariously pleased that you took the plunge.
