I have just added a Robot to my arsenal and want to use it for traveling so I'm trying to pare down the setup as much as possible. I have no experience with pressurized baskets and wanted to get a few opinions as to how degraded the espresso is with one. I assume it's dodgy but would appreciate anyone who has experimented to weigh in.

When I bought my robot The grinder that I wanted was not available anywhere. So I bought a pressurized basket to use till the grinder came in. I used supermarket coffee that was pre ground. Once I got my grinder I never used it again for making coffee. Was not bad, but would not consider using it now. Of course the fact that I am now grinding my own fresh coffee contributes to the better espresso, still... do t have the desire to try it. :)

I do use the pressurized basket everyday though! Since I have it I use it to preheat the piston. Works well.
