Fully configured Argos...in NEW video... Looks Terrific... I just noticed the Lunar scale

It's cool that the drip tray is on top of the scale.
I wonder why he is pulling up on the lever. It looks like he's adding pressure to the shot because the spring isn't giving quite enough pressure.

He wanted to try a profile with an higher pressure than the 6 bars spring was giving. It's a great added flexibility. There's always the 8 bar spring option to choose from. Or a full manual shot
After mulling around and not preordering during the initial round, I've been absolutely kicking myself
Every video the team posts impresses me with how much they've followed through on their promises for the machine, and how well the appearance continues to hold up to that initial wow factor.

I think that's how most (maybe all?) spring levers work.bringyoutomyhell wrote:He wanted to try a profile with an higher pressure than the 6 bars spring was giving. It's a great added flexibility
My Sama Export rolls on bushing and the lever is only connected to the piston. Lifting the lever would only serve to lift the bushing, not pull the piston.
Fantastic. Can't wait to get my hands on it.
I was also wondering why he didn't let go of the piston. Also I notice in every video using the left hand to hang on to the porta-filter. Wondering how unstable the unit is on the bench being so small. I've never had a tiny machine like this, but I think I'll be bolting mine down.

It has in fact developed into an amazing looking espresso device with all the refinements that have been achieved in the past few months.
As 'Honeercomb' shared it as the "wow factor'
I have developed a Predilection for the Argos. Does anyone else feel a little.....also

The Argos is really looking rather good...I'm glad it's all coming together for Ross. Not easy to bring a new product to market, especially an innovative one.
The piston has a ball valve which allows the removal of air from the chamber preventing "sponginess".
If I recall correctly, at the time this was taken, Ross was still finalising the valve used and the "jiggle" was to remove the air.
Unfortunately, non-US certification is going to take up to an extra month so I will be waiting a while yet.
