Alfred Meyer mystery machine is it Ponte Vecchio Lusso?

My first post here after deciding to equip myself for espresso...
Found this machine on the local swiss auction site. Had never seen it before for and can't find any info on the interweb.
its labeled as you can see from the photo Alfred Meyer, Arbon
Anyone ever seen it...
The seller says that unfortunately the piston is missing. Since I have no idea if that would be replacable i thought i would put it out to you all...
The price aint bad if i can fix it easily...

apparently it needs a new piston
is orphanespresso the best place to start?

For home lever espresso machines, orphanespresso might be the only place to start for spare parts.

ok sent them a mail. will see what they say. the guy want 300$... i need to figure out whether to gamble the 300$ or not

For those living in Europe, I recommend contacting Pasmarose for spare Ponte Vecchio parts.

Hi Dan,

Are you suggesting that the La Romana shares components with the Ponte Vecchio Lusso?

It would be good news if it did obviously...

i have to agree with you, it also looks much like the Olympia Club...
I've sent a mail to orphanespresso for parts info, i'm sure i'll have more details from them...
