ACS got back to me and told me that the Evo Leva will get the "dosed coffee system" earliest in June/July, and that it will increase the price. Not sure if that translates to a pressure release valve or something else, no news about the rotary pump either. They are however committed to providing parts/service for a fee after the warranty lapses. No guarantees for how long but I guess they've been around as a company for many years. So likely to support the machine for a while.

As long as the early problems mentioned in the The Lever review, such as frame bending and a very loud pump, have been fixed I don't think I need to wait for the upgrades. And it seems like they have been adressed already, judging from the comments on the review page.

The oe pump is a gear pump, it's noisy

The dosed system will be the pressure stuff.

Do you need it ?

Vostok is available, go for that if you have space

It's not a dealbreaker anyway. Would rather not wait three months if I can help it. Vostok looks great but it's too big for my kitchen. Frankly seems huge with its 60 by 46 cm base. Also costs 500 euro more at the time of writing, probably not worth it to me for the extra features.

I believe, but not 100% sure, the revised Vesuvius Evo Leva with the pressure stuff may have the rotary pump as standard, also front panel touchscreen control of preinfusion pressure for those who wish to change it.

that's something you should specifically check when you communicate with them...in case they are assuming you would know?

Sorry if this is not the right place for this question. Does anyone here have a Vesuvius Evo Leva and a Versalab M4?
I'm wondering if the portafilter from the ACS lever machines will be compatible with the portafilter holder on the Versalab that I have (guessing not)? And if it's not compatible, if people have found a workaround? Thanks!

I've never seen one with one
