1957 Urania 2nd gen refurb - Page 8
The dome sits inside of the scaldatazze tray. It is fastened with 6 screws, and the grid rests on top of the screws.
The entire tray fits onto the main body and lifts on/off for easy access to the boiler and internals.
I believe there are a few configurations for the dome/body depending on the model. Do you have photos of yours?

Sure, I know how it fits I was just wondering how you got the dome to fit since it did not initially. Mine is missing the little knob for the grid.mingiunate wrote:The dome sits inside of the scaldatazze tray. It is fastened with 6 screws, and the grid rests on top of the screws.

Ahh - I think @TCM (a few posts up) was the poster having trouble with the replica dome fitting. All of ours are original.

When you pull the lever does the machine tend to tip over?mingiunate wrote:The new spring might lean to the stronger side:
The original spring was 42m OD, ~125-130mm length with 6-6.5mm wire.
The new one is an Astoria/CMA/Bezzera ~45-46mm OD, 130mm length, 6.5-7mm wire.
I think an exact replica would need to be custom made, but its irrelevant since this group doesn't have the pre-infusion plunger mechanism that would require the more narrow 42mm OD spring. In either case, the coffee tastes great.
