Unique? Colourful Mexican espresso cups

Want to talk espresso but not sure which forum? If so, this is the right one.

Found these artisanal espresso cups in a Mexican import shop in Montreal when I was just wandering down the street after an amazing Venezuelan lunch...



I bought two sets... They'll brighten up the condo, especially in the darker winter days.

Chatted with the owner for a bit... Says he buys direct trade and he can always get more but needs to know the demand before he does another run to Mexico. Next is in September.

Thought I would share in case anyone else might enjoy these... To me way cooler than the common stuff.

I think they're very cool! Thanks for sharing them! I'm assuming they're simple slip cast clay, not porcelain?

Yup. It's marked lead free on the bottom and he assured me it was durable enough for use and washing.

I like cups. I like those cups. Be careful with them. Here is a couple I have with a similar pottery style that unfortunately did not hold up:
