Totally agree with Peter on this. Standard convention works many times, but there are coffees that defy convention. I'm currently drinking a 4 bean blend that is medium roast but taste best with very little preinfusion, like 10 sec.pcrussell50 wrote:
So for me, the rule still holds... the darker the roast, the shorter the need for pre infusion. In general. But I have not tried nearly the variety of coffees as some of the people I consort with online. Some coffees it seems, are pretty freaky and defy standard convention, I gather.
