Old timers may remember Jon Rosenthal (JonR10), a frequent and helpful poster to this forum in years past. Jon contacted some of us to contribute to his campaign this year for the Texas House of Representatives. I am happy to report he won in an upset victory. That's great! Wasn't he a moderator here and/or on CG? Last visited in 2013 (just checked).

I haven't been around here long enough to be familiar with him, but my coworker that covers Houston was telling me about him and why she planned to vote for him.
Bring the good coffee, wire up those other representatives, and get to work! Lol

So cool. Always enjoyed Jon's posts and my interactions with him. Miss him here, but it looks like he has bigger fish to fry (or lattes to pull...)

That's pretty cool. He was a great resource on CG. He even went out of his way once to pick something up to ship to me. I was always wondering what happened to him. He was super active on CG, then basically disappeared overnight.

Thanks! That's like one mod for every currently active member posting over there... (couldn't resist--sorry)HB wrote:Jon was a moderator on CoffeeGeek. Here's the current ones:

Let's hope his "voice of reason" character works as well in the house as it did on coffee fora.
