Congratulations from Janet and me! Glad we got to meet you and your wife awhile back and that everyone else is saying they're okay so far.

Above all else glad you are safe, looks like it will be a while longer to let it all pass up here.
Well, we got the chance to visit Indah Coffee Company, and we were pleasantly surprised. Really good coffee!! And the owner spent some time with us talking (in general) about coffee and Hurricane Irma. Highly recommended.

Thanks Gary!

We are back home and safe, and very happy that our home came through undamaged, and that power was restored so quickly. Our thoughts are with those down the peninsula who had a rougher go of it.

We live in North Naples, and our house is still entire (according to a few neighbors). However, we still don't have electricity in our street. Having said that, my heart is sad for the people living in Immokalee.

Ack. Hang in there, everyone. We have power and water, but we're still under a boil water advisory due to damaged water mains throughout Pembroke Pines. Count us among the more fortunate with safe, happy kids and no real property damage to speak of. However, due to the storm I wasn't able to fly to Denver when my grandfather's health started to fail, and he passed away. I'm at the airport now on my way out to offer support. He would have turned 98 on Sat.

I'm sorry for your loss, but I am glad you came out of the storm alright.

And I am glad to hear it sounds like most came out dodging the worst of it. Best to all.

Josh, my condolences. He must have lived a very rich life.

Joshua,

I'm glad to hear your house came through the storm mostly unscathed but sorry to hear about your grandfather. My condolences to you and your family. He certainly lived a long life, but in my experience when it comes to loved ones, it is never long enough.

Oh man I'm so sorry to hear that. Several years ago my grandfather passed shortly before his 96th. He lived a long rich life and I hope yours did too. I hope everything goes well in Denver with the family.
