Then there were Atomics.

Great pic. My first machine was an atomic (a tan/enameled one). I loved that puppy. And even when I wasn't using it, it looked way cool on my stove.

Robotic coffee baristas elbowing in at SFO

Interesting excerpt:
Briggo and Cafe X said they are committed to using coffee beans sourced from local roasters. Cafe X said its coffee beans come from Intelligentsia, Equator and Ritual. Briggo said it is in negotiations with Santa Cruz-based Verve and Sightglass for its SFO machine.

This is pretty funny - an interview with Anne Hathaway, where she's talking about things she brought on a boat where they were filming a movie. And yes, it's espresso related! Start at about 1:30:

Nescafe Barista Gold Blend Simple.

I never thought of filling up a hopper with... instant coffee. And of course phone connectivity. Look how happy they are! And check out the substantial "crema"... The truth is my wife would've been thrilled with this back in 2012 when I (a coffee non-drinker then) bought our first espresso machine in response to her birthday request and started a crazy journey.

About $30.ネスカフェ%20ゴールドブレンド%20バリスタ%20シンプル%20レッド%20SPM9636
