You've really come a long way quite quickly Alan! I look forward to reading about your experiences getting to know this beast.

Thanks guys.
I've been speaking with Bill at SF. They're refurbing a 25 now. I told him about this one and wished me luck and welcomed me to the family if I got it. Very nice people and I'm proud to be the new owner and part of the San Fran clan.
I'll have to put a few bucks into getting it installed, and it's way more than I need now, but ay my age I don't think I'll be upgrading in this lifetime. Hopefully I grow into it. I should be able to roast 15# batches easily. We'll see. Another adventure!
I'm a bit nervous about calling the gas company and telling them I need 1.5MM BTUs throughput. The seller mentioned he can get 60# of coffee to 415*F in 10 minutes. That's all I need to know.

Great score! Maybe you didn't 'RobAnybody' but I'd say it's worth at least twice what you paid!RobAnybody wrote:
A few weeks ago on "marktplaats" (Dutch ebay) I stumbled upon an Isomac Itala for free within driving range, so I called immediately (apparently it had been on there for less than 2 minutes) and jumped in the car to pick her up.
Cheers,
Rob
