Pressure devices
Support of 'Do it yourself' Popsicle - Sensor - Thanks to Mike and Shay
I've just discovered BeanConqueror and I'm impressed so far! I've started to use it immediately with my Acaia Pearl and I would like yo use the DIY Popsicle Sensor.

I've tried to find some information on how to make this sensor but I've not found anything. How can I make a DIY Popsicle Sensor? Is there any reference? I do a lot of DIY on electronics and I'm also a coder so I think I could do that with some information...

So... Has someone some information on how to make the popsicle sensor?

Thanks in advance!

Before, I was tracking espresso brews in a notebook. Works fine, but was unstructured and became a bit unorganized over time. Switched to the app now and it works really great: I record the brews and use it to look up my grinder adjustment for specific beans (single dosing). Dose and yield are read directly from my Lunar. The app seems to have a lot of options to configure. One potential additional feature that might be interesting (not 100% sure myself): I have to select the beans for every brew out of my list of beans. If I could add an RFID tag to the bag, putting the bag close to my phone would allow to automatically detect the beans. Downside: you have to attach and configure the tags.

Overall, a pleasure to use so far. Thanks to the developers!

Best wishes,
Bastian
Hello Bastian,
thank you for your feedback!
Actually thats quite an interesting idea! :)
If you did one brew already with one bean, you could go to the bean, press "..." show the done brews and repeat this one.
Else you could try to customize the brew parameters and presetting those for just changing the bean + needed parameters and the rest of the information would stay the same.

Have a great cup of coffee

My one quality of life suggestion would be to add a 'repeat last' button to the brews tab. Perhaps beside the 'add brew' plus button or as an optional replacement. Right now you need to tap on the three dots beside the last brew, then tap repeat.

It's a minor issue for sure, but I think a lot of people probably want to repeat the last brew to bring the settings over, then tweak as needed
Hey there!
The next update will inherit a new button which will pop up a list, where you can choose your last preparation method.
If you customize the parameters for the preparation method, they will be preset/used directly

Hey there,
actually the popsicle sensor is a thing which two users on Discord did.
At the moment there is no documentation, but they are on it as far as I know.
