I have a new Acaia Pearl Scale that I am getting antiquated with.
1) To turn it on, I have to hold the power button for .05 seconds. Not a big fan of that. Is there a way to have it instantly turn on when I touch the power button? Or can I have the scale turn on automatically if I place something on it?
2) I tried out the auto tare mode which could be nice. However, it won't work for the portafilter because the instant you pick up the portafilter from the scale to grind coffee into it, the scale resets. Is there a auto tare where it won't reset if I remove the portafilter to fill it with coffee?
3) How long would the battery last between charges if I never turn it off?

1) To my knowledge, there aren't any other power options to turn it on beyond a long press.
2) N/A
3) It will auto-off after a certain amount of inactivity. However, I've used mine for 2-3 pour overs per day for roughly 4 weeks straight before it needed to be recharged. Guessing somewhere around 10 hours of intermittent use. The LED will indicate when it's getting low on battery.
