I've actually noticed this with every grinder I've single dosed including MonCon.

I have no idea why! Maybe there is retention on the first dose from previous session? Maybe the burrs heat up slightly and change the grind profile? Maybe it has to do with how the pump works. Who knows!???

It hasn't seemed to affect taste for me though....
