So far I have just purchased a 4 lb sampler from Sweet Maria's and everything seems good. I'm going to be purchasing some more soon, and I'm wondering where you HBers like to buy your beans. I have made an account at Green Coffee Buying Club and may go that route. Thanks guys!

The thread Alternate Suppliers of Greens is fairly recent and provides some suggestions. I noticed it in the RELATED TOPICS list at the bottom left of this page.

I'm still new to the roasting game. I bought the 4lb sampler a few months ago as well. I noticed that the blends do not roast as evenly as a single origin. So try not to be discouraged that your roast with the blends are not as even as you would like.
I posted my first roast on this forum, and the crowd was less than impressed. :/

You can't go wrong with Sweet Maria's. I have used them for years and only get exceptional quality every time. It might also be worth it if you have local roasters you like to ask if they will sell you greens. I have two local roasters I like that I get most of my coffee from now. They both get only quality coffee, and the $$ saved on shipping goes a long way toward purchasing power.

I think a lot of roasters will sell you the same beans they roast. That can be a way to get your roasts right. Buy a pound roasted and a pound unroasted and roast and compare.

One of my two local roasters sells greens at half the price they sell the same coffee roasted. That is a fair deal. The other one sells all coffee for $6.50/lb green (and he gets good quality specialty grade varieties). They are also one of my favorite roasters and do a fabulous job with everything they roast, so I will use them as a "control" from time to time to compare my roast to.

I have purchased from all of these vendors below. All fantastic options but the vast majority of my orders are with Sweet Maria's and GCBC.
Sweet Maria's
Green Coffee Buying Club
Compass Coffee Roasters
Roastmasters
Klatch Coffee
I plan on ordering some greens from Temple Coffee in Sacramento at some point. Also want to give Bodhi Leaf a shot

Other than Sweet Maria's, I've been happy with Burman Coffee Traders (www.burmancoffee.com). Their cupping reviews aren't as elaborate as Sweet Maria's, but they have good quality and good prices.

I usually buy my greens from Bodhi Leaf. They are a small, reputable coffee trader out of So Cal. I have posted the website for you. To get to the Home Roasting section of the site, scroll down and look to the bottom left portion of the web page. Their prices are lower then Sweet Maria's.

They also sell greens on EBay. Just search "green bean coffee raw". By putting in raw, you will eliminate most of the coffee pill extracts for sale on EBay. On EBay you can bid for their beans or just Buy Now. Either way the shipping is free. That is not the case if you buy off of the web page I posted above.
