My gas burner was leaking too and I could never find where it was leaking from. Will check it out again as the factory roaster is better than my replacement.

I've never seen what I would consider to be a compression ferrule look like that pictured. If that's where mine is leaking I'll try to swap out the fitting for something I trust. May swap all of those ends and lines out to rebuild the burner when I have extra time to waste.

Sorry, got this fixed and totally forgot about the post. I got the ferulle moving around, and re-tefloned the joint and things fit well together. Nice and tight. Soap water tested and everything was good.

I then added a support for the quick release fitting so I was not bending the joint inside. It's been good every since.
