Lucky! Please let us know if it's worth the asking price of almost $85/lb green. Have wanted to try his coffees for a long time now but haven't bit the bullet based on the price

Also, Roastmasters has the Hacienda La Esmeralda Private collection geisha back, starts at $27.04/lb

I've had many of his best and they are amongst the very best coffees I've ever had. A few years ago he gave me some random samples from small farms he brought back and they blew me away. Picture the best natural Ethiopian coffee, with it's individual flavor characteristics amplified threefold. All the while remaining impeccably clean.

I just picked up 2lbs of this, my first geisha purchase. Any recommendations for roasting?

While considering the Gesha, also; Roastmasters Panama-Mama Cata-Typica and Gesha grown together on same plot. Needed some Filtropa filters so thought I'd try it. Couple days after a brew roast and really enjoying it. It's like a light roasted cacao covered gesha, pleasing acidity.

One of the latest from the Crown is up there with the best I've had so far. Hits all the marks outlined in the description:

It's a pretty good price/lb too especially with the free shipping

is anyone wanting to sell 5lbs or so? sorry if not the right place...just don't need 22lbs :O

Klatch just listed the new crop of Panama Elida Estate natural in greens. This has been one of my favorite beans for many years.

Right now, Klatch has free shipping on orders over $50, no coupon needed.

I also ordered a pound of the same bean roasted. Every once in a while, I like to compare my roast against the professionals. Always a good learning experience. The roasted bean is available for a 15% discount with the code SEPTEMBER17.

Thanks for the info. I think I got this coffee several years ago from Roastmasters and really liked it. I tend to prefer natural process coffees.
Just got myself 10 lbs + 1 lb roasted.

Seems like a really good price for this coffee.
I think the 15% off on the roasted ended yesterday, but as a 1st time buyer / subscriber to Klatch, I got 10% off.

For Christmas, I roast about 5# and give it as gifts (in 8 oz increments). I might use this for that unless I like it too much and get greedy.

I know we all stay pretty well keyed in on new releases from Sweet Maria's, so it's not like something from them is going to slide under the radar. But it does get my curiously sparked when I see comments like "competition worthy", and more importantly (to me) a very even, balanced scoring circle. I don't recall too often that Tom would use such a descriptor for a coffee, maybe once or twice in the past at most. They just released a Colombian microlot that looks quite good. I picked up 5 pounds. It reads quite sweet, bright and floral. I also don't get too tied up in their cupping scores, and pay more attention to the flavor descriptors. Many of the best Colombian's I've ever had, scored from 87-89.
