I took special note of that one, and the Rwandan they also listed. Instead of their "good for espresso" final comment, they state it as "prime espresso option". Creme brûlée notes of caramelized sugars, cinnamon and spiced chocolate in the darker roasts. Sounds delicious and maybe a good choice for a melange roast, but with espresso extraction in mind.

Sweet Maria's/Coffee Shrub has posted a Guatemala Acatenango Gesha that not only has the typical attributes of a Gesha listed in the cupping notes
(and a score of 93+!), but also is supposedly a good espresso at darker roasts. Have placed my order...

I ordered 10lbs of the Ethiopia DP Kayon Mountain Taaroo. Notes on it looked too good and this will hold me over until the rest of the Ethiopia crop hits.

Picked up some of the Guatemala Gesha, too! :)

I just ordered some of the Uganda Sironko Town and PNG Kainantu Sero from SM.

Anyone with experience roasting either? In 2018 I went through several pounds of Bali DP Bangli Kintamani, and the notes reminded me of it.

92.4pt Natural Ethiopian up at Sweet Marias. Even with the 2pt cupper's correction it's still over 90. Whenever Sweetness AND Flavor are both 9 or above it's an automatic buy for me. Every coffee i've picked up from them that meets that criteria has been an absolute winner in my experience. Normally I get 5lb bags but am hopefull that ill be glad I ordered 10lbs.

Ethiopia Dry Process Guji Gerbicho Rogicha

cheers,

I just bought 5lbs of Gerbicho Rogicha also.

Just went through 2lbs of the Kayon DP from SM. And thought the Kayon was phenomenal and I wanted to order another 5 lbs, I couldn't resist going for the Gerbicho Rogicha when I saw strawberry and mango in the flavor notes. Superrrr excited!

If any one has been roasting the Vohora family Crown Jewel you might like to know that Keith over at Northbound appears to have some on roasted offer. I might just have to order some of that to compare with my roast of it:

It is a very nice coffee, now sold out in green from Royal.

Curious how it turned out. I quit buying this particular Gesha after solid disappointment 3 various years.

We divvied it up in MN. It is a BIG morning coffee. I would give it about an 85. A good coffee but I am surprised they moved it with their Jewels.

So far I've done one roast at City+. Excellent as a pour over, was lacking as espresso.
