it's a banger.
I nailed my first roast. I started drinking it on day 2, but really wish I had waited until day 5 when it really opened up.

Never thought I would say this, but it's almost TOO sweet.

roastmasters has a lot from the Murundo cooperative which apparently won #3 in the Cup of Excellence 2018. 90 point coffee if you guys are interested.

Looks the same. If it is, I'd expect it to disappear quickly too. I wouldn't fixate on the scores either.

I've just got another 6lb of this delicious La Tacita Floral Gesha Blend from SM.

Really in love with this blend. I'm roasting specifically for espresso (although my espresso roasts are always on the lighter side), Fast Start, Slow Finish, around 15% development and using my "Sauna Effect" approach.

With this profile, it really shines on the 3rd week post-roast.

My dialed-in shots are 19.5g in, 40g out, 40 sec including 8 sec pre-infusion at 3 bar and going down to 6 bar for the last 10 sec.

It's like drinking a hot melted milk chocolate and tangerine smoothie. Highly recommended.

I just picked up 10lbs. I also don't "need" it  but decided to grab it anyway. Will report back when I roast.

Sweet Maria's released a new, rather interesting Sumatran coffee that veers from the norm by being higher elevation and a washed coffee. I picked up some that should be here by Tuesday. Looking forward to seeing how it pans out. Still some forrest floor, but not as earthy as typical Sumatran coffee, with maybe a cleaner cup and better acidity. This should be a fun one. Especially with simple blending for espresso.

I'm really surprised I don't see more people talk about nice sumatras on here. I LOVE that they're different, complex, and just comforting. The higher end sumatra varieties are some of my favorite.

Tom please comment the coffee once you give it a try.

I will be in the US shortly so this will be my chance to order from Sweet Maria's without paying the crazy international shipping rate. Also if you guys have any suggestions from their current offerings please let me know!

Roastmasters just put up Colombia's Cup of Excellence #2 winner on their website, only 100 pounds available so get in quick if you want some.

Interesting lot, half washed and half honey geisha. This lot was scored 91.18 by the international jury and this was a record year for Colombia with the top nine lots scoring above 90 points.

I am interested in this coffee from Royal : Mexico Unión Juárez Alfred Klein Jade Centennial Crown Jewel. Before I order I think I will offer as a group buy. I have some padded USPS envelopes needing used plus the unique varietal and notes of cedar intrigue me.
