I just picked up a bag of Honduras Hubert Nicolas - Finca El Tatascan Pacamara Micro Lot from RoyalNY. They only had a dozen bags or so, but it appears the remainder of the sample bag has now hit the fracking dept. 5/10/20# orders are available till it's gone. It's an exceptional coffee roasted light, around 1:30-1:45 post 1C.

Putting together a group buy
Just sipping it. No funk, except for a ghost in the long finish. Massive cognac aromatics, both dry and wet. The bean is a Colombian cultivar, but tastes like a classic Bourbon. The cognac flavor is, I think, a mix of medium caramels, a mild dry distillate, and a twist of ferment. Chances are, you'll never see anything like it again. There is a wisp of wine like acidity, so more a Napoleon than an XO in the cup.

I roasted it till 3.5 minutes past the first crack onset, nearly stalled, so the first crack was just tapering off at the drop. Ended the roast when the caramel aromas got nice and prominent. YMMV.

Ordered 10 lbs up, but left a message if they can use USPS flat rate shipping as the only options were Pickup NJ, or UPS for $30!

I pick up my box of this Thursday morning. Jen Apodaca was going to use this coffee for her Matchbook Coffee Project selection, but the delivery was slightly delayed and she had to choose something else.

I might be willing to split some off for sale, I don't really need 22 12 less than 7 pounds of it.

Sorry guys, unless you heard back from me confirming, it's all spoken for. Before I could even get a listing started in the B&S I had numerous takers.

I might ask about a second box when I'm there. If I do, I'll reach out to the rest who've PM'd me. See my updated previous post.

I'd buy a box if some people wanted some. I probably only want 3lbs. I will be in PA for my sister's wedding 12-19 so it would be after that.

I'd be happy to buy 5lb or so from any of the box purchasers. I have last year's washed Kochere; it's a fine coffee to which I blend about 25% of a DP Sidamo to give it some body. The Honey version should be an improvement.
