Great visit to see Johan of Cormorant Roasters this afternoon and pick up my new roaster. He'd already done 4 or so test roasts, which he does with each new roaster, to make sure everything is running as it should. We roasted a batch of Guatemalan together so that I could get to grips with the basics.

Here are a few pics of her...she really is a thing of beauty - I know this is a subjective thing but to my eyes....

Will follow up with my new journey:)

Thanks Philip

I'm new to this forum but have been lurking and reading for a few weeks. I have been roasting on a Behmor for 4 1/2 years and am ready to move up. This roaster (been watching YouTubes) checks all the boxes for me from roast size to manual control, gas, etc. Do you know if they ship to the US?

Yes they do - Johan mentioned he had just sent one off to Texas recently.

Looking forward to reading about your journey with this roaster. As was said before, it seems to check a lot of boxes.

Is there a website with info? I can only find an old KS page.

Yes, there is a basic website which is being updated at the moment

https://cormorant-roasters.business.site

These are more or less built to order, I did do a quick write up on my first visit - which can be found over on Coffeeforums - UK

Cheers Phil

OMG - This was a very dangerous thread for me to have fallen upon. As I explained to my wife, I would have been better off to be watching real porn rather than this 'Coffee Porn'.

I feel like I'm falling down yet another Rabbit Hole - Just call me 'Alice'...
