OK I will try those figures out when I roast again, but I should have coffee for a week or so on hand now...converted that first batch of Yirgacheffe to gelato. I can use those even though I have the stock probe, not the thinner one you are using?

I also saw the swap box is still checked here https://ibb.co/3NwHxz4

Leave alone or uncheck it?

Yiou may want to try unticking the swap box, at the risk of having to check connections again.
My probe is thinner so comparisons are hard to make, others with more in depth knowldge (and stock probes) will have to provide input. One way of approaching it is ; okay it by ear, if you end up wil much spikes it get's difficult to manage flicks and crashes.

Ok I'll untoggle that box and go with this settings next time. I'll also recheck the connections after untoggling. If anyone else has an opinion on these curve settings, please feel free to share. Thanks again.

As the section label says, this Swap checkbox changes only the relative position of the Rate of Rise LCDs. Unchecked deltaET on top, checked deltaBT on top. Same idea for the Swap checkbox in the LCDs section on the Config>> Devices dialog, only this one reverses the position of the ET and BT LCDs.

To reverse the ET/BT input signals go to Config>> Curves>> Filters tab. Check the "ET <-> BT" box in the Input Filter section.

Hope this helps to understand these options.

Back at work on the HUKY today.
Roasted a 300g batch of Columbia FTO
https://ibb.co/dccbGhF

and a 400g batch of Sweet Maria's Liquid Amber.
https://ibb.co/yq0rmyC

- how cool should the beans be before I put them in the jar....I put them in the jar but the jar felt warm to the touch...maybe more cooling?

forgot to turn off Artisan so this one ran awhile after the fact...

Still have spiking with blue line. I applied the settings recommended previously as seen here for filters and also unticked swap box

Also on your notes it said 150 end of Dry Phase. That is why I am marking it as such on artisan, but I see elsewhere that it is 6-7 minutes past TP. Not sure if I am marking correct or not...

150 dry end is just a marker, I let Artisan mark ot automatically at 150C.
Graph looks much better! Now go see how you like your roasts.

My Artisan curve settings are likely too tight for the stock probe, you may need to increase span a bit.

After dropping you want to cool the as fast as possible and to as close to 20 or so C as possible (impossible over here right now as it's like 27 C inside).

Can you or someone else give me another set of figures to input there that might work better with the standard HUKY probes? Much appreciated.

What Marcel posted is reasonable. If you are getting big swings like I am seeing there is some noise in your system somewhere. Either electrical, bad probe or air mixed with bean temp.

Marcel, what is your sampling rate. Try a sampling interval of 3 with delta spans of 6 and see if you like that.

Also you might want to turn off smoothing post roast and compare.

See the Quick Start Guide page on Curves for some more details.

delta span of 10 sec and smoothing is at 4, I'm using a 3mm probe with a grounded TC inside.

Thanks. I'll try these settings next go around and see how it looks.

Mr. Li was saying that 4:33 to 160 °C was too fast and that he shoots for 6:00. Thoughts on that? Maybe too high of a charge temp. I had it nearer 230 for the 400 g batch.... still using same heating strategy that Marcel recommended earlier.

Charge temp 230C (210C for 300G)
30 sec soak with fan at 50 V
heat to 4kPa at 30 sec
150C - 3.0 kPa
160C - 2.5 kPa
170C - 2.0 kPa
180C - 1.5 kPa
190C - 1.0 kPa
45 seconds into FC turn gas off
1 min into FC turn fan up to 75 V
1:30-2:00 drop (I have been going a bit longer than this)
