I had one spec'd out and in the cart with plenty of time to pull the trigger (it was 10:02) but just couldn't bring myself to do it. I think it's the wait time that made me opt out. If they had them ready to go and would ship them this week, I probably would've pulled the trigger. I just can't get onboard with this new crowdfunding and pre-paying shopping experience.
Congrats to the 250 that now have one incoming, I can't wait to read more real world reviews about this cool grinder!

You could've pulled the trigger and could sell the slot to me or someone missing out if you didn't want it

Any buyer's remorse please let me know!

Same here. I managed to get a P64 that I can use today vs having to wait with my cash out the door. Hopefully they ramp up production and at some point it becomes a more palatable purchase for me.backdrifter wrote:I had one spec'd out and in the cart with plenty of time to pull the trigger (it was 10:02) but just couldn't bring myself to do it. I was thinking of ordering one this round but couldn't make up my mind about burr selection or really commit. The potential 80mm version is also tempting. I would definitely like to move to a more kitchen-friendly grinder than my large and noisy Tanzania.

Hype is unreal for the Z1. I want one but can't get over the sound of the moter, isnt' it ac?
No it is not an AC it's a brushed DCMDNYC88 wrote:Hype is unreal for the Z1. I want one but can't get over the sound of the moter, isnt' it ac?
The current Z1 runs a large brushed DC motor, delivering exceptional and efficient power, which reduces much of the engineering complexity creating a more stable platform and a better user experience. The Z1 uses a long lasting all metal gearbox to reduce the speed of the brushed DC motor to 900RPM.
