Weber and Acaia (Orbit) - Page 22
Is that the dark anodized? I was hoping for it to match the black Lunar finish.

It is just grey, I think they tried matching the Grey with the dark grey of the "black" lunar 2021, because that scale isn't truly black as is obvious when you plug the cord in or look at the black screen.

I anticipate it being the difference in RPM range.
The KEY is from 30 to 150 rpm IIRC...
The Orbit is from around 600 to 1500 rpm
With that being said, it can be turning over 10x faster at any given moment.
The whine seems to be worse on video. However, the KEY is significantly quieter.

Which grinder do you like the best with that GS3?
That Light at the End of the Tunnel is actually a train
I'd love to hear some comparisons now that they're out in the wild. Really looking at this option vs the Weber Key.

after using the grinder for a week, i find that i actually do need to RDT otherwise i get over 1 gram of retention in the grinder consistently.

from a work flow perspective, i prefer the weber key. the build quality is also better on the key grinder.DentalBeans wrote:I'd love to hear some comparisons now that they're out in the wild. Really looking at this option vs the Weber Key.

It's funny you say this, I share the same sentiments.
I went from Niche to Key and I missed the dosing cup.
I now have the Orbit after owning the Key for almost a year, and I prefer the KEY workflow, especially after adding the dosing aperture.
