A very simple DIY hack to preserve coffee freshness in the hopper - Page 6
That's a clever solution to make the hopper look full. I'm not sure though it would would be perceived the same by the typical member of this forum compared to more "normal" people. When I see home grinders that are full of beans I can't help but think about them going stale (with typical consumption by home users). It's a different situation in a cafe or a restaurant, where a hopper full of beans can be consumed within the same day.thecoffeefield wrote:

Lol.... I already have a mini fridge and wine cooler. Mini fridge is filled with drinks and the milk container is too tall to fit... I don't want to start dosing my milk into smaller containers too!DamianWarS wrote:mini bar fridge at your coffee bar. now you don't have to walk to the kitchen at all. Let's be honest, it's probably inevitable, might as well start making the switch now.
Besides, the milk gets used for other things so it needs to stay in the kitchen.
That's exactly what I did. After all, where do you keep your vermouth, olives, and simply syrup, if there's no fridge in the bar?DamianWarS wrote:mini bar fridge at your coffee bar. now you don't have to walk to the kitchen at all. Lol... Milk is probably one of the most versatile beverages on the market coming in all shapes and sizes and you can buy more than one carton at a time. You could even get UHT drinking boxes and just store next days in the fridge. Sounds like you have a system you enjoy and no one is going to change that. More power to you if it's working.Jjsaustin wrote: Besides, the milk gets used for other things so it needs to stay in the kitchen.
