Thanks, that clears up my confusion.

And in absence of any other practical advice/method, I'll keep doing the marker test until something better, that is also practical, is suggested.

Anyone that had a Niche Zero and bought a Niche Duo switched back and prefered the Zero?

For some coffees I prefer the Zero. Mostly dark roasts where I want a very short ratio like 1:1 or 1.2:1. For about 70% of my coffee I prefer the Duo.

I've had three Zeroes and three Duos (don't ask :D ) and I prefer the Duo.

The espresso if great from both but the Duo gives me more burr options.
A little obsessed.
