I had ordered the DF64V March 17 (more or less when I discovered its existence) and promised a late June delivery but it arrived yesterday after sitting in Singapore for a week to have the SSP Espresso Burrs installed. Unboxed it and will take it for a ride today. I had been looking at the Lagom but the price and lead times really put me off and when this came out with the option for an identical burr to what I would have put into the P64 at less than half the price delivered I figured it was worth a shot. We'll find out soon.

Initial impressions are not good at all. Motor is only working intermittently - the power is on and the RPM meter is lit, but the power button doesn't engage the motor. Will sometimes start up when unplugged but stop after about 5 seconds. Sent a message to DF64 and got back the dreaded we'll get back to you in 3 days because of the "holiday rush." Still using my old grinder while this gets sorted out.

That sucks. Might have received a dud. Your supplier will help you out. Turin is a trustworthy company.
There was one other person on the FB group that had a similar issue and I believe they sent him a replacement unit. Don't recall if it was DF64coffee.
Good luck!

Sorry to hear about your experience. I assume you bought it from DF64coffee.com. Any reason you didn't buy from Espresso Outlet? I assume you are in the USA and have the 110V version.

This seemed to be the way to get the quickest delivery . . . I actually don't remember it being offered at Espresso Outlet at the time.

Their initial response was not confidence inspiring - they tried to blame it on damage that the machine must have sustained in route but that is obviously incorrect as the box is in perfect condition. I sent them pictures of the machine, box, and foam, immediately, as they requested.

I'm annoyed (and disappointed), but not too worried. I bought the machine by credit card and I feel protected if they don't deliver what they promised. I've informed the credit card company and the ball is now in DF64's court, so to speak. Perhaps their initial response could be blamed on a quick Sunday reply but its been a full working day in Singapore without any further response.

Hope they come to the party. This is where buying local really makes a difference. I've seen mixed responses about the Singapore seller.

Still radio silence from DF64 but I feel protected by my credit card company, which already charged them back for the defective machine and credited my account. I've bought lots of stuff from overseas, including my Decent coffee machine, and my experiences buying equipment out of the country is usually not much different from buying something out of state. Equipment vendors anywhere can be customer focussed or not, and DF64 certainly seems to fall into the later category.

There is a reason why the lagom is so highly rated with its high price tag, they have top notch customer service and replies take less then 24 hours in most instances. Can't go wrong with the option o grinders even though is highly priced

This statement is misleading and borderline dishonest.
Joe Kolbs from Espresso Outlet is a major distributor of Turin grinders. He has built himself a great reputation in the industry over the years. If he was the distributor (he's not in this particular case) for the faulty unit @Makanmata received, I can say with confidence that he would have dealt with and resolved the issue promptly.
Same goes for other reputable Turin distributors in Europe, Australia and even when buying directly from the company. Defective units happen with high-end grinders like Option-O as well, who also use distributors, that I'm sure have blamed the transport companies in the past.

There's a warranty on Turin grinders and while incidents like these are rare, it's not unusual in the coffee maker industry. Again, the lesson is : buying from a reputable seller is also buying peace of mind.

Following with interest and my DF64V arrived from df64coffee this morning (240v). in respect to the response time, I've bought 6 grinders from them and they are slow but dependable at around the 2 - 3 day mark. So give them a couple of business days and based on my experience they will respond. Cross fingers for you.
A little obsessed.
