+1 To it not being blind faith. Definitely faith but also respect for all the attention to details and hard work thats so evident so far. It sounds like its been a long road so far to get another grinder out into yhe world.
Infinitely capable of being completely wrong.

And you named it LIDO because? I mean we're all in suspense here!

As for the name...your theories have all been much more romantic than the reality. Italian beaches, island off Venice, Meditteranean breezes.

Our first conceptual design used 8 aluminum plates, numerous spacers and standoffs so it became to seem like a big puzzle. We named it after the little plastic keychain puzzles made by the LIDO plastic company in the 1950's. When we googled the name up came the Italian beaches, so it seemed like destiny.

Are the neoprene travel bags alone holding things up? I'd gladly do without one (at least temporarily) in exchange for a Lido to play with before mid-March!

Truly, the design details and availability by pre order were put out there because it was actually seeming bizarre to be posting or discussing this in a one sided way and we were getting request for pre order anyway. The bags are actually an integral part of the packing for shipment (minimal packaging concept).
We are still determined to finish our grind study to enable us to correlate burr adjustment setting to predominant particle size (we are about $2k into the equipment to do this), get some grinding and extraction videos done, and do extraction comparisons examining a possibly pesky but possibly advantageous issue....static. We are approaching this as a full project and the coming month should allow us both the time to get it done and you the full data set to consider/reconsider you purchase. :D

Doug and Barb,

Please take the time you need. I think we'll make it for another month or so without a LIDO.

Jedi mind tricks won't work on me! ;) Seriously, though, no worries. The study sounds illuminating.
