I have been a very happy NZ user for about three months and the only minor annoyance has been consistent transfer to my 54mm portafilter. I have tried a couple of different containers, a funnel and grinding directly into the basket, but keep coming back to the Niche cup. To solve the transfer and distribution, I made the adapter pictured below and it works great.

That is awesome. I had heard they plan to eventually make grind cups of different diameters, but in the interim this is a great plan.

Really like the adaptor, wish I had something like it for the 58mm portafilter...it's the ability to spin and distribute that really interests me. I was thinking of something flat and sprung that sits in the portafilter on edge...but this looks like it would work.

I was resistant at first, but I'm now using the Lyn Weber Blind Shaker. It took me a while to get used to it-for sure. It may be an option for the Niche.

I can send you the 3D model, if you want to make one for your 58mm portafilter.

Sadly I have not yet entered the Nirvana of 3 D printing and don't know anyone near me who has one....thanks for the offer though.

When you get a chance... would you post a video? I'd be interested to see how it works out with the NZ.

Thanks!
