From update # 50:

"We will be shipping out all the January shipping orders over the next 2 weeks.

We plan to ship out the February shipping orders around mid February but will ship earlier if possible."

I got word my NZ was on the way (#1598). Right now a Dumbo stork is carrying it across the Atlantic and will shortly be delivering it into my loving arms.

Well, I just ordered one in black. :)

Looking forward to it. Will feel strange at first, after so many years of only using a hand grinder (OE Lido 2).

I'm hoping at some point Niche will be able to ship their products to Canada. Count me in as one of the people that would immediately purchase one of these grinders if they sort this out.

So.... what's so special about this grinder again? Mostly that it has less retention than other grinders? What about grind quality vs others?

From what I understand...

- excellent burrs
- well made
- single dosing
- quiet, slow burr speed
- easily and consistently adjustable
- excellent grind
- cool looking (don't start!)
- replacable wearing parts

Also:
- Very compact
- Can remove top burr carrier, burrs and sweep arms in 60 seconds for easy cleaning
- Can go from filter/carafe and back very quickly and consistently
- Can run multiple beans at once as it easily and accurately moves between settings
