I watched Charlie's video today. Pretty interesting take. 1) he doesn't seem to think they are as clear as what others are claiming the 078S is. 2) the rpm rpm impact seems odd. It will be interesting to see what people think.

I don't think anyone proclaims the 078(s) are that clear? some say perhaps juicy but beyond that no.

I saw that video also.
Moritz even equated its results to conical! If that is indeed the case then I think I made the right decision ending my backing for the ks for the 78s because I was looking for 98mm SSP HU type performance.

It doesn't have anything to do to with honesty. It's just weird that he had a completely different experience compared to other unbiased honest reviewers. But we'll know the truth in a few months when the unit will end up in backer's hands

I would not say he had a totally different experience he did overall praise the grinder it was just the knocker for espresso usage he didn't like due to motion and number of turns, but did say it did work and kept retention low, plus the profile of the burr and how the burrs performed that wasn't to his personal preference.

But really his main to criticism is personal preferences, there nothing wrong with the profile of the burrs it just ain't tailored towards lighter more modern roast. It just try to hit the larger segment.

There no difference between the 078 and S models other then the burr and slightly change on the adjustment mechanism

The truth will be revealed when the 078 gets into more hands
