Why? With a harder/firmer material you can't lift up the edge. So then you need a "door" that opens or else a hole in lid, like the yellow one in the photo. The point of the lid is to prevent popcorning bits from escaping and a hole will allow that to happen sometimes.

Let's wait the lid and I will try to compare which one more easier & functional to use....
From the last video my plastic lid still has 1 or 2 debris... hopefully this one has a better result

I believe the cover rotates easily around the center axle. After you're done loading your beans in to the grinder you'll twist the cover so that the hole is covered from the bottom by the internal horizontal bar at the top of the grinder.
I've also made homemade solutions but they're always fiddly and take away from the elegant design of the grinder. These covers seem much easier to use and have a much better looking design.

Yes, it is easy to clip and release the lid, after lunch I want to trying the new lid, especially because I had a very hard beans it looks light roasting, not easy to grind with the Apex grinder...

How do you guys "zero" the M47 Traveler? I received mine this week and I can't figure out where my starting point is. I can turn and turn the knob clockwise and it doesn't hit a stopping point. Just want to know true zero so I have a sense of where I am and it makes for easier changing of settings between espresso and v60. Thanks!

It will have a stop, either because the burrs will lock or because the threading on the rod will stop, mine is the latter case.

Just to make sure, you are holding the grinding handle in place and the top locknut is slightly unscrewed?

Is the Travel Edition discontinue?
Only the M47 Classic, Phoenix & Simplicity in their product list...

Phoenix is better than Travel, imo... and I think will replace it.
Actually, Classic is listed just for the record, can't be delivered atm, the fire destroyed one of the machines that is mandatory for the pseudo-Morse mounting system, so for a while no model using the two bolts shaft assembly system can be manufactured.

But the Traveler is still available from Prima Coffee, if you're asking because you still want to buy it, and they advertised here for a special of $20 off but ending today, I think (shouldn't be hard to find their post here...).

But yeah, all these models confuse me with little to differentiate them clearly on their site. I'm not quite ready to buy so maybe it will all settle out by the time I am.
