It looks like this is now released (at least in Germany) and shipping. I'm curious to hear about some impressions if anyone has got hold of one? From what I've seen It still seems quite big - not a lot more kitchen friendly than the full size version.

Same story, same thing just a bit smaller.

I wonder why the website specs states a lower powered motor.

Good to see it's the same.

I would like to know how tall? If it won't fit under my kitchen cabinet it's a no-go!

I'm also curious to know the dimensions without the hopper.

It's Mahlkonig, not the first time you'll find conflicting specs on their website, it has happened before, for example Mahlkonig have had different specs on their brochures (pdf) and on the spec sheet. Even the users manual supplied with the grinder can have different specs than those supplied on the website.

I regularly purchase products from german websites and this is really not that uncommon.

I wanted to know the height specs without the hopper too. Judging from the pics next to the Slayer, looks like it's roughly 16" tall without the hopper. Total height says it's 26".

Good call. Getting 15.75" without hopper per Frank.

Still not short enough for most countertops in the US if you want to use the short hopper.

Agreed, but can it be used without the hopper...like the Compak...short funnel with weighted plunger?
