Test 1-10 Samples
Target: 20.0 g
Target Set: 20.0 g
Average: 20.4 g
High: 21.0 g
Low: 20.1 g
Standard Deviation: 0.22 g

Test 2-10 Samples
Target: 20.0 g
Target Set: 19.70 g
Average: 20.1 g
High: 20.3 g
Low: 19.9 g
Standard Deviation: 0.18 g

Test 3-10 Samples with Smaller Beans
Target: 20.0 g
Target Set: 19.70 g
Average: 20.0 g
High: 20.2 g
Low: 19.8 g
Standard Deviation: 0.11 g

Once I set the target weight on the screen below my desired weight, it worked well. It's smaller than I was imagining.

I just got it, so I haven't tried it for the group of 30 I make espresso for every weekend. It's impractical for just a few shots because you have to fill the hopper and then empty when done. But for making a bunch of shots like I am for groups, I'm hoping it's worth it.

It's memorizing in action.

this is a great piece, especially for commercial/higher volume use. Thanks for posting your thoughts!

I went with the orion because the min height of the dosing area is too low on the LWW bean counter for my use case

The Orion might be like this as well, but the LW is easy to clean. You just pull off the magnetic side cover and wipe down the wheel and chamber.

I'm still on the fence. Please post a review when you get yours. Why Lww over the acaia?? Why the extra cost for the acaia?

Test 4-15 Samples with a third kind of beans
Target: 20.0 g
Target Set on Display: 19.70 g
Average: 20.0 g
High: 20.2 g
Low: 19.9 g
Standard Deviation: 0.12 g

"Target" is the dose I'm aiming for. "Target Set" is the dose I enter on the screen of the LW Bean Counter.

I don't see this as a useful tool for just a few shots. It's hopefully going to be a great tool for a whole bunch of shots.

Has someone posted numbers form the Orion?

I'm guessing they both perform similarly. What I do like about the LW is the small footprint.
