Lagom P64 Flat (Option-O) - Page 233
What filter taste profiles do you like? My wife's preferred espresso bean is a medium roasted Brazilian and she has had no complaints with what I make her with the Mizen burr. I successfully use my P64 for both espresso and filter (clean, fruit forward profiles) with good results; however I am not after a traditional espresso experience.
Not yet! But I was inspired by his results to add another minute to my Aeropress brews (3 min -> 4 min) and the difference was huge! Brews are much more complex, have more flavor density (I reduced my grinds as a result), and are less finicky.KKUK wrote:Glad you're enjoying it. I too have been making some very good APs with my Mizen equipped P64. Have you tried Jonathan Gagne's recipe https://coffeeadastra.com/2021/09/07/re ... -aeropress - I really enjoy the results.
Anyone heard anything about the mid June batch of black P64s?

Mine (black one, Mizen) from begin/mid May has not shipped yet. I reached out to Option-O and there were QC issues with the black parts specifically. No ETA yet.maccompatible wrote:Anyone heard anything about the mid June batch of black P64s?
We managed to address the PCB issue, but we're still waiting for the black anodised parts to pass their QC test. The anodisation process for the black grinder is usually more challenging than the silver grinder, therefore may result in higher failure rate. Unfortunately when this happens, it will affect the estimated dispatch time.
Just got an email that there's been a delay on quality control for the motor, and mid-June is now early/mid-July. :/

Anyone that received the newer version of the p64 disappointed that instead of the nice bean feeder in the center of the bottom burr, it's now a 14mm bolt? It looks like a niche grinder now.
You only see it when you open it up. With the Niche it was in your face the whole time.

I'm assuming later dates will also be pushed back because of this.maccompatible wrote:Just got an email that there's been a delay on quality control for the motor, and mid-June is now early/mid-July. :/
