In three years of ownership, I've had to replace my bearings and power switch. Both were known issues shortly after the initial release that have long since been updated. Mine was the first production batch so it has not seen the other various updates over the years.

It still works as well as day one. It's got some cosmetic wear as you'd expect from occasional dings or drops from a portafilter or somesuch thing - I also pack mine for coffee with the family and I'm sure it gets bumped around a little during transport - and that's all.

Same here. Mine is a few years old and works flawlessly everyday for the 60 or so seconds that I have it on. They seem to be well made and I have no questions or concerns about longevity.

I meant if it will stand the test of time. There is no indication that these grinders will fail in the short term.

That's great!!! Can't wait to get my P64 in few months. Only thing i'm concerned is alignment and how to check it. Because i read a lot about alignment and shims , and I dont know how to check it or repair it because i'm completely new to this.

If you're new, do not worry about alignment. Save that for down the road in a few years when you're running out of things to fuss over.

Mine had really great alignment, then i changed the burrs and messed it up. Moral of the story, don't touch your burrs and just enjoy them until you want to fiddle with it ha.

Oh i got it. Chose mizen because down the road i might want to brew coffee and though that they're a versatile burr set. I'll try not to touch them lol

Do the new P64s come already calibrated from factory with Zero Point at 0 ? or we have to do it ?

Got mine a few months ago with SSP MP burrs and was properly set to the zero point at 0.

Question for you all, I'm finding static is still an annoying issue with this grinder despite RDT. The new catch cup adds to the frustration with lots of little nooks where coffee can get trapped. Anyone else experiencing this?
