To be clear yang chia and feima grinders are a totally different class. They are 60mm burrs which are closer to the flat burr style and not crushing style. Sweet Marie's review was the feiman yangchia class of grinders. Those grinders are typically under powered and full of retention and full of fines.

If you are looking at specifically Fuji clone / Apex burrs this would be it SG$ 194.15 12%OFF | Xeoleo Electric Coffee grinder Flat Wheel Burr grinder Coffee miller Superhard ghost tooth cutter Coffee milling machine 10 step

The above is 74mm burr size, the motor is powerful enough and grinds any beans without any problem.

Just a heads up, I've been wanting to get one of the Xeoleo ghost burr grinders for some time but wasn't comfortable with aliexpress. Found one recently on amazon that was "fulfilled by amazon", not some 3rd party seller. Even with minimal description, at $140 and 2 day prime shipping I went for it. Ended up being 110V, 200W with 10 numbers on the dial, but also half steps in between. I'm very happy so far with grind quality for kalita and V60.

Thanks.

I'm pleasantly surprised at the low retention and build quality. Working on a few usability mods and think this will satisfy my tinkering spirit for a bit.

Does anyone know anything about the $50 grinders on eBay? I messaged one seller to ask if the burrs were cutting or ghost style and never heard back...

That one looks like this one from Aliexpress, which has a cutting flat burr:

What usability mods have you installed and which dosing cup is that (that you replaced the hopper with)? How has the taste in cup been?

This appears to be the same grinder that HB member Denis has been reporting good results with for some time although he sifts the fines with the included sifter cup.. Have you experimented with that?

I was thinking of a new chute, a knocker and a dosing tool like the Ek43. But after a few batches of coffee I'm pretty content to use it as is. Some of these thoughts arose during breakin and before using RDT. Maybe I'll still try to make a dosing attachment just because I like the look.

The hopper is an extra OE Mini hopper I had in a drawer, adapted to fit using a couple 3D printed parts.

I haven't been using the sifter. Just single dosing with RDT and everything has tasted great to me. Had both an Ethiopia Guji from Sey (V60) and an Ethiopia Bedhatu Jibicho from Klatch (Kalita). If I get motivated I'll try a head-to-head with my Lido 2.

Nice... that's interesting idea... seeing the Lido compare with Electric Ghost Burr Grinder

Well, I bought this grinder, and it is very nice, definitely nicer than the 1st one I bought. It is heavier/larger, with what looks like an 80 mm ghost-tooth burr. It is very fast and reasonably quiet. And, given Amazon Prime...2-day shipping! It should make a good brew grinder.

It is currently unavailable, but I suggest keeping an eye out for it. Here is the AliExpress link:
