How do vertically mounted flat burr grinders work?

I do not understand how beans flow into burrs, get ground and flow out. Anyone know of any animation that shows the flow of beans?

Edit: never mind, I figured it out.

My grinder has three fins, on the bottom plate that holds the bottom burr. Centrifugal force push the grinds out on those fins, then when a fin gets to the open shoot, the same force forces the ground beans out the shoot.

Edit: I forgot I asked about vertical. My response in this post was horizontal.

What I've been wondering is if the whole grinding disc is used evenly, or if more grounds come out of the bottom half.
